Our Vision

Through our work with Suncatcher Players, we hope to help kids develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Who am I? What am I capable of? What can I contribute to something bigger than myself?

The arts provide an opportunity for students to do some much needed exploration and discovery. That is why the Suncatcher Players don't conduct auditions before the beginning of the season. Sampling each aspect of a performance allows kids to figure out what resonates with them as artists. Having a breadth of knowledge about performance also encourages us to appreciate one another and work as a cohesive team.

We imagine the Suncatchers Players as a "troupe" or a band of performers, bound together and supportive of one another as we embark upon realizing our creative visions.

Suncatcher Players is a registered youth performing arts company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We are a federal nonprofit with 501c-3 status.
